About Us

Joe & Elaine Duffy founded Holly’s Horse Haven in March 2009. It all began with Holly, their first rescue Horse and victim of the recession, which inspired them to rescue, rehabilitate & find caring homes for over 250 horses, ponies & donkeys to date and these numbers are steadily increasing.   Many of the rescued equines require intensive critical care, resulting from their abandonment or neglect, and Holly’s has a achieved enormous success in restoring them to full health.  Almost all of the rescued horses have found loving forever homes via Holly’s adoption and fostering programme. However, a few equines that have suffered severe trauma or injury and cannot be re-homed remain safely at Hollys, where they are given a safe home for life.  None of this would be possible without the support of Holly’s dedicated team of expert volunteers who give generously of their precious time together with the donations people have very kindly given.  Holly’s Horse Haven will strive to continue with their very difficult but worthwhile task and the success delivered to date. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/1140191.
